About Kailey Jane
Kailey Jane Hawkins is a singer/songwriter known for her deep love of all things music. She first discovered this passion growing up in Northern Ontario -- as a child singing along to iconic Canadian artists like Fred Penner, Raffi and Sharon, Lois & Bram and, later, discovering the diverse and wonderful Ontario folk music scene. Now based in Owen Sound, Kailey began writing her own songs 10 years ago and hasn't looked back. She's a big believer that music is both medicinal and magical, and she loves sharing it everywhere she goes. She can often be found in front of a mic performing both covers of popular artists, as well as her own heartfelt originals.
Kailey loves the vibrant music community in Grey/Bruce and is a long-time volunteer with the Summerfolk Music and Crafts Festival emceeing stages, performing as a “Tweener” act for Summerfolks 46-49, as a co-host for the festival's radio show “Georgian Bay Roots", and as a proud Summerfolk 50 artist in 2025.
